Are you aged between 18-25 and struggling with your mental health?

Join us, Sailing Tectona, for a funded five day sailing voyage onboard Olga a traditional Bristol Channel wooden pilot cutter.
At Sailing Tectona, we specialise in facilitating life changing experiences for people in recovery from mental health issues and substance misuse.
Please note- This is a fully funded opportunity the only cost to participants is travel to and from the ship.

Voyage 2: 17th - 23rd July
​
Embark during the Festivities at Bristol on Sunday and enjoy the festival experience from your very own ship. Experience sailing out of the Bristol channel departing for Plymouth on this 250 nautical mile passage. Along the way soak up views of the southwest coastline and marine wildlife that inhabits these spectacular shores while having the opportunity to learn traditional sailing skills and build sea miles!

About the voyages:
​
While onboard, you will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of traditional sailing, from hoisting sails to navigating. Our experienced sea staff will support and empower you to take control of the ship and it's daily running.

About the festival :
​
The harbour festival is all about celebrating Bristol’s rich maritime history, this year marks the 50th anniversary and is themed around ‘Ebb and Flow’ to represent the changes of Bristol and celebrate the city’s diversity. There will be seven stages of entertainment from live music to spoken word.

Full board accommodation with own bunk
Wet weather gear (oilskins)
All safety equipment
Participation certificate
Joining instructions, itinerary and travel advice will be emailed to you upon successful application, along with a kit list. It is advisable to obtain your own travel insurance for this experience.
