Join us onboard Olga for the Eddystone Pursuit - a spectacular event where over a hundred boats gather to sail, fundraise and socialise together!
Description
In it's 19th year, the Eddystone Charity Pursuit is a chance for Olga to sail against over a hundred other boats out from Plymouth, around the Eddystone Lighthouse and back to Plymouth - a sail of 26 miles. There are a range of prizes to be had - from first over the line to spirit of the race. However, no matter where you come in the pursuit, this is a true community event!
The Eddystone Charity Pursuit is a sponsored sail where the aim is to raise money for local charities. Any money raised by the participants on board each boat will be match funded by the Eddystone Charity. The minimum cost for this day sail is £120. However we would encourage you to raise as much sponsorship as you can to support our charity - Tectona Trust - which funds people in recovery to come sailing.

Details of the day
All voyages on board our boats are completely hands-on! Whether you are an experienced sailor or a complete beginner, the intention is that everybody onboard becomes an active crew member and works together to sail Olga.
Although it's an early start, we will provide coffee and morning rolls so that everyone is bright eyed and bushed tailed and ready to sail. Lunch will be provided for you whilst we are sailing and we aim to be back by around 5pm. There is an meal and prizegiving ceremony for all the crews taking part in the Eddystone Pursuit in the evening. Exact details on the start time of the pursuit etc. is all given at a Skippers briefing the night before and will be passed on to you when you arrive on board. If it is not possible to sail around the Eddystone due to weather conditions, we will still go out for the day with all the other boats and sail a course that is suitable.
What is included
Included in the price of the day is all food and refreshments on board, qualified sea staff, sailing instruction, personal safety equipment and use of waterproof jacket and trousers.
Not included is the cost of travel to and from Olga at the beginning and end of the voyage or travel insurance.
