Our sailing season runs from April to October, and we are looking for volunteer Watch Leaders, 1st Mates and Skippers.

Watch Leader: we only require you to have some experience or an interest in sailing… and a lot of enthusiasm!

1st Mate: you will need qualifications (once in position), but please contact us if you don’t currently hold any qualifications and would like to discuss training opportunities.

Skipper: we require you to hold a Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster certificate.
*All our volunteer sea staff will be required to have a DBS check (cost covered by us) before going to sea.

Sea Staff Membership
After successfully completing your training weekend we will invite you to become a sea staff member of Sailing Tectona. Annual sea staff membership costs £60 (£30 concessionary).
